Hóng Yè Shù Zǐ (Red‑leaf Tree Seed) is a traditional Chinese medicinal material. It is the dried mature seed of Helicia cochinchinensis Lour., a plant belonging to the family Proteaceae. It grows in moist evergreen broad‑leaved forests on hills or mountains at altitudes of 20–1,300 meters.
