Usage & Dosage
For oral administration: decoct in water, 6–12 g. For topical application: decoct an appropriate amount in water and use for fumigation and washing.
Selected Formulas
For chronic wind‑headache with dizziness, dry hair loss, and chest phlegm congestion (Tianbao Danfang Tu) Take the tender shoots of white chrysanthemum, pound into powder. First, moxibust both Fengchi (GB20) acupoints with 14 cones each. Then, on an empty stomach, take one square‑cun spoonful of the powder with unstrained wine, twice daily, gradually increasing to three square‑cun spoonfuls. For those who do not wish to drink wine, it may also be taken mixed with soup or congee. For clearing the eyes and calming the mind (Zunsheng Bajian, Ju Miao Zhou) Take the newly grown cluster leaves of sweet chrysanthemum, pick and wash them, chop finely, add salt and cook with rice into congee. Eat. For vulvar swelling in women (Shiyi Dexiao Fang) Take sweet chrysanthemum shoots, crush them, decoct in water, and first fumigate, then wash the affected area.
