Tanakaea omeiensis Nakai
Aliases:É Méi Yán Xuě Xià (literally "Emei Mountain Under-Rock Snow" — named for its habitat in damp rock crevices under alpine conditions). (This is an alternative name for É Píng Cǎo, i.e., the dried whole herb of Tanakaea omeiensis / Omei Mountain Tanakea.)
É Píng Cǎo is a traditional Chinese medicinal material. It is the dried whole herb of Tanakaea omeiensis Nakai, a plant belonging to the family Saxifragaceae. It grows in damp rock crevices in mountain forests at altitudes of 900–1,100 meters.

High fever with convulsions, and convulsive seizures due to fright.
Ingredients
This product contains alkaloids. The fresh herb contains norbergenin (a glycoside).
Usage & Dosage
For oral administration: decoct in water, 9–15 g; for large doses, up to 30 g may be used. Harvesting and processing: Collected from April to September, washed, and dried in the sun.
