Dried Fig & Forsythia Tea (Wuhuaguo Lianqiao Cha)

Dried Fig & Forsythia Tea is a classic medicinal tea known for its core benefits of clearing heat, detoxifying, and relieving sore throat, commonly used to alleviate pharyngitis discomfort. Forsythia is bitter in taste and slightly cold in nature, entering the Lung, Heart, and Small Intestine meridians, known for clearing heat, detoxifying, reducing swelling, and dispersing wind-heat. Dried figs are sweet in taste and neutral (or cool) in nature, entering the Lung, Stomach, and Large Intestine meridians, known for clearing heat, generating fluids, moistening the lungs, and relieving sore throat. Together, the bitter-cool cleansing of forsythia and the sweet-moistening of figs complement each other, creating a tea that is both refreshing and mellow. It achieves the effects of clearing heat, detoxifying, reducing swelling, relieving sore throat, moistening the lungs, and generating fluids. This tea is especially suitable for sore throat, early-stage wind-heat colds, and acute episodes of chronic pharyngitis.
