Dried Fig & Pear Tea (Xueli Wuhuaguo Cha)
Dried Fig & Pear Tea is a classic wellness tea known for its core benefits of moistening the lungs, relieving cough, and clearing heat. Pear, known as the “natural nectar,” is cool in nature and generates fluids, moistens dryness, and resolves phlegm. Dried figs are neutral in nature, strengthening the spleen, clearing the intestines, and moistening the lungs. Together, they create a balanced formula that is both cooling and nourishing, effectively relieving throat discomfort, dry skin, and other “dryness” symptoms caused by autumn weather, late nights, or voice strain. The tea is sweet, mellow, and soothing – an ideal daily wellness beverage for autumn and winter.

Main Ingredients
- Pear 1-2 pieces
- Dried figs 3-6 pieces
- Rock sugar or honey to taste
- Water 500-1000ml
Steps
Wash 1-2 pears and 3-6 figs. Pear can be peeled or unpeeled (skin is recommended for better cough-relieving effects), remove core, cut into small chunks or slices. Cut figs in half or into quarters to release active compounds.

Place prepared pear and figs in a pot or electric kettle, add 500-1000ml of water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 5-15 minutes. Turn off heat and steep for 30 minutes to allow flavors to blend.

Add rock sugar or honey to taste (diabetics may omit). Consume 1 dose daily, drinking frequently as tea. Finally, chew and eat the figs and pear to make full use of dietary fiber. Can be re-brewed until flavor fades.
